Qinglong Hutong with an extremely high population density is home to 11,000 people. A typical family of three shares a 10-15 sqm apartment in low quality and with poor insulation. In respect for this complexity, we have developed an iterative method. We test and define the level of ambition of a city and form the necessary knowledge base to design urban solutions that will work in a local context. This iterative method allows us to look at the city from different perspectives, which are unfolded in depth one by one. We have named it our "Grey-Green-Blue Strategy". The three colors represent three key perspectives of a livable city: mobility (Grey), urban space (Green) and water/utilities (Blue). Regional history and culture, as an independent chapter, will be applied to the design of each color. This "Grey-Green-Blue Strategy" is an integrated solution based on demands and basic elements of livable cities, showing a smart and sustainable planning concept.
