ARCHILAND CO-ORGANISED A SEMINAR ON URBAN REGENERATION IN NANTONG ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ZONE

Recently, the Nantong Economic Development Zone Management Committee (NEDZMC) invited Professor Heng Chye Kiang, Executive Associate Dean of the School of Design and Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS), to deliver a lecture on the topic of "Sustainable Urban Renewal - Exploring Singapore". The event was organised by the Nantong Economic Development Zone Management Committee and co-organised by the Nantong Architectural Creation Professional Committee, Nantong Planning and Design Institute, and ARCHILAND Singapore, with the presence of Mr Chen Pu, Director of ARCHILAND Singapore.

With the theme of "Sustainable Urban Renewal - Singapore's Exploration", Professor Heng Chye Kiang will present a macro to micro view of Singapore's urban renewal strategy over the decades, starting from the changing trends and concrete cases. With his years of experience in urban regeneration, he vividly demonstrated how Singapore has realised its unique sustainable development model through continuous and iterative urban regeneration. Professor Heng Chye Kiang not only brought detailed data and vivid case studies, but also outlined a blueprint of Singapore's urban regeneration for all participants with his unique perspective and profound insights, which also provided valuable reference and inspiration for the ongoing urban regeneration work in Nantong and even all over China.
