ARCHILAND WAS INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE LECTURE SERIES "FRONTIERS OF INTERNATIONAL URBAN DESIGN" AT TIANJIN UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE
Recently, Professor Huang Jingtao led the course series of academic lectures "International Frontiers of Urban Design" at the School of Architecture of Tianjin University. The event was planned and hosted by the School of Architecture of Tianjin University, aiming to cross the geographical boundaries and invite renowned scholars from all over the world to explore the new paths and future trends of urban design. The weekly wisdom collision provided an unprecedented learning opportunity for the teachers and students of the school to face the challenges of the industry and gain insights into the future direction of development. 6 June, Mr. Morten Holm, Director of ARCHILAND, and Ms. Tian Kun, Director of ARCHILAND, as the guest speakers, presented a lecture entitled "Theory, Practice, and Actions in Response to a Changing World -- XL/L/M/S’s Doughnut City Development" keynote speech.
Based on the theory of "donut city development", Mr. Morten Holm and Ms. Kun Tian analyzed how to build an inclusive and sustainable urban space in the context of global climate change and social development. Through vivid case studies, they demonstrated effective urban design solutions that translate the theory into reality. Meanwhile, the two guests encouraged the students of the School of Architecture to deepen their professional knowledge, enhance their practical skills, develop independent thinking and problem solving abilities, become innovators and leaders in the industry, and creatively solve practical problems in the face of the challenges of climate change and social transformation, so as to change the future of the industry.
