ARCHILAND WINS 2026 un DESIGN GOLD AWARD FOR URBAN PLANNING
The 2026 un Design Award Gold in Urban Planning has been awarded to the Chengmai County Master Urban Design project, a joint design by China Eco-City Academy and ARCHILAND.The project covers the 2,077 km² territory of Chengmai County in Hainan. It tackles ecological, spatial, and socio-economic challenges through a comprehensive spatial framework and differentiated development strategies.

Key innovations include a "Cool City" climate infrastructure system using wind corridors and green networks, and the integration of cultural heritage with agriculture-tourism development. The plan translates strategy into actionable design guidelines and priority implementation projects.


This Gold Award recognizes the project's professional value and provides a replicable model for high-quality development in tropical coastal counties.
