The 29th Annual Conference of the Institute of Interior Design of the Architectural Society of China (Shanghai) was held from November 15th to November 17th, 2019. Many experts in architecture design industry gathered in Shanghai and brought discussions from a professional perspective.

In the morning on November 17th, Morten Holm and Sun Zheng, Design Directors of ARCHILAND, attended "the Belt and Road" Interior Design Forum of the annual conference of the Architectural Society of China, gave speeches and shared experience with "Multi-dimensional Practice of Sustainable Design" as the topic.

In their speeches, Morten Holm and Sun Zheng analyzed the design industry based on future urban development trends. In the future, with the urbanization in the world, urban population and GDP per capita will continue to increase. Therefore, both architecture design and interior design will be faced with a great transformation. According to the demands on environment and efficiency, the design industry needs to make actual adjustments to provide people-oriented designs with lower energy consumption.

"The Belt and Road Initiatives" as one of the most important international cooperation, brings unprecedented opportunities to the design industry. Under this peculiar circumstance, Chinese design industry shall learn from the experience of other industries and seize the historical opportunities.
