Dongjiuhu Lake, as the water gateway of Yixing connecting with Taihu Lake, has great potential in cultural tourism and service industry. Based on the urban planning concepts of Copenhagen, combining with local climate and environment, we introduce bicycle culture and expand slow traffic area to adjust its traffic mode and develop city vitality. We also apply the "Grey, Green and Blue" ecological development mode of Copenhagen into China to protect local ecological environment and create dynamic waterfront urban space. Taking the history, culture and future of Yixing into consideration, we abandon traditional high-intensity development model and adopt a simple and sustainable design concept. Through green sustainable system upgrade and quality improvement of public space, Yixing with waterfront urban space for local residents can re-embrace the water. Meanwhile, this design will lead people to change their old ides and experience a new lifestyle, integrate health, ecology, nature and energy into urban culture, and realize green development of this Jiangnan waterside village.
