CHINA HEISHA CITY
Located at a key tourism transit node in western Sichuan, Yingjing County boasts rich heritage and ecological assets. Centered on the iconic "Yandao Black Sand" and "Clear Winds & Elegant Rains," the project envisions "A thousand-year Black Sand City, painted with clear winds and elegant rains," with Black Sand and the Dove Tree as dual city IPs anchoring nature- and culture-based tourism. Four strategies—"Landscape as Backbone, Readable City, Accent Highlights, and Symbol Reinvention"—guide urban image enhancement, addressing the mountain-water spatial framework, block functionality and form, and the activation of city life and scene-making through targeted design interventions.
